I had a wonderful 2 day retreat with my quilt guild. We met at a new venue that was roomy and comfortable. I took 5 projects with me as I could tell I was having focus issues. I worked a little on all of them and then, rinse and repeat. As you can tell I am a spreader.
I opened the box on this older ufo from 2017. I have 120 blocks, enough to start assembly of the top. This is a Bonnie Hunter quilt from her book addicted to scraps.
A quilt retreat sounds fun. Love the blocks you made. Bonnie's quilts are usually big ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm also having trouble with focus lately. I think I had 7 projects with me in February at the retreat I attended. I finish a couple, made progress on some, and didn't touch a couple of them. But like you, I had fun. Your scrappy blocks look awesome and the quilt will be so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI will have to look up that BH quilt. I quite like it! Looks like you got a lot done! https://stitchinggrandma.wordpress.com//
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun quilt retreat. Instead of ManSpread - you have QuiltSpread haha!! Love to see everything!
ReplyDeleteWhat bright and cheery colors. Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party
ReplyDeleteLove the Bonnie Hunter scrappy project. Sounds like you did a bit of this and that.
ReplyDeleteI keep all the Addicted to Scraps patterns in a binder. I think I've made quilts from two of them.
ReplyDeleteI have a 2 day retreat coming up next month. I am really excited about it to be able to work on what I want to. For the past few years I've concentrated on making things for my booth at the retreats over just enjoying myself.
ReplyDeleteLovely scrappy project! Looks like you had a lot of fun at retreat, and made good progress on a lot of quilts! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Aw that sounds like a good time. (I couldn't keep my hands off of anything with the peanut butter + chocolate combo!)
