snails trail again

Oh, how I love making these. They are just a project that I keep for comfort and happiness sewing. Someday, there will be a quilt. But, for now, I just love making these.

As we traveled to 2 great quilt shows last week, I noticed our lovely Indiana farmland. I live in a flat portion of Indiana, I sure think it pretty every season of the year. On the way to Lafayette, there are more rolling fields with corn ready to harvest. We saw amber waves of corn. How nice....

  1. Love your snails trails! When we visited Indiana in the early 2000s, I fell in love with it. We were in Columbus, and it was October, and it was gorgeous. We drove into Brown County, and I was gaga over it. My husband spent the month of January helping a contractor friend work on a house, and when he got home he vowed he would never live there, so I had to give up that dream - lol!

  2. Very fun and colorful blocks! It's been a long time since I've been to Indiana. Looks a lot like Oklahoma, though you see a lot of wheat here, not so much corn.

  3. I love traveling country roads and looking at the fields that have been planted. Very comforting. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

  5. Would you believe I've never made a snail's trail block before?!! Except on EQ8 the other day, haha! Doesn't count, but I am going to make up the pattern I designed one day.... maybe I'll get addicted to them too... xx

  6. I have traveled from Alabama to Michigan often over the last 45 years and my favorite scene, ever, is a clump of trees with a house and a barn surrounded by fields of corn in Indiana.

  7. Love your snail's trails, with all the nice plaids. I grew up in southern Indiana, and still miss it sometimes. It's a beautiful place to live.
