I have been throwing random flannel pieces into one very large container as I have been cleaning and sorting. Now, it is too big to carry, so I need to make some goals and plans. It seems quilters don't keep flannel, it is often in the giveaway piles. I like it and rescue it, but, it is probably time to stop. I have been walking away from sales and tables more and more. A little sad, but confidant that I will not run out of fabric. LOL

I sewed 7 days last week. I like starting a new month with new and lingering projects. The rainbow scrap challenge adds a new color every month, so I will be cutting orange scraps.
I have a place set up in the living room to hook on my rug project, I have yet to think to work on it while I watch tv. It will start, patience I tell myself. I decided it was time to hook some of the fun stuff at the bottom and I aimed for this house. The back ground has been a bit long in the tooth.

Yeah for all the stitching time this year. And for all the stash busting. How many quilts have you finished year to date?
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of background in this project. I find alternating between background and something more exciting keeps me motivated . Perhaps you could use your flannel pieces for backings for baby quilts…

I see several bloggers who use their flannel stash to make baby quilts to donate to women's shelters. Not that you need another project. I have never worked with flannel.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you! You are maintaining your focus on using up your fabric and wow what progress you are making! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

You finish an amazing number of quilts! What you used for the roof of the house was perfect.
