starting midnight flight

oh my! a new puzzle.  This is the project box for an older UFO from 2016 called midnight flight from the quiltville book 'more adventures with leaders and enders'.  All the pieces to build the blocks are cut and pieced including the border pieces. Which include 218 red 4 patches and 218 cheddar 4 patches, 288 hsts b&w, 288 blade pieces, and 148 border blades ( half leaning right and half leaning left). What was I thinking when I cut this out. The next step is to build 72 cheddar quadrants and 72 red quadrants. It is now part of the 5 quilt project. Let the fun begin.

I made a small start on the cheddar quadrants which include 21pieces.

  1. Oh, wow. I remember that one. If all the pieces are cut you're halfway there! Just don't decide to introduce new fabrics to the mix.

  3. Having it all cut out is a huge step toward a finish. This will be really striking!
