I have a top finished for Carolina chain. I have had piles of projects just needing a little help to get them ready for quilting. This one I used as my away project only. Eventually, it reached a stage I just wanted to finish it.
oops -silly block turned wrong _ I guess that is why I take pictures |
I cut Carolina chain in 2017. It is from the the book addicted to scraps by Bonnie Hunter. It was also in the quilltmaker magazine, June/ July 2010.
This is a lovely quilt! Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, the colors are perfect. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
ReplyDeleteGreat finish! Very cheerful. I know what you mean about just wanting to get it finished, too. Would it be a Bonnie Hunter quilt without a block turned the wrong way? :)
ReplyDeleteA delightful quilt top! Such a good way to use up lots of scrappy precious bits & pieces. And using those assorted blues for your border turned out very effective!
ReplyDeleteThat is really pretty! I love all the scrappy color in it. Good for you, Maggie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love the scrappiness and the dark setting triangle are a great choice.
ReplyDeleteYour Carolina Chain is beautiful! I really like the dark setting triangles as it makes a nice frame for the blocks. I am eager to start my second one in blue and white. My first one was for my sister as a throw in Christmas fabrics.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt and good think to catch the silly block now. Thanks for linking up to TGIFF!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous quilt top, Maggie! Congrats on finishing it up. Happy quilting!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I love the simplicity of this block and yet, it makes such a wonderful quilt to look at. Well done. ;^)
