In September, I started planning my Tiny Tuesday adventure. I still have a main ufo I am concentrating on, but, I thought I would take this little rainbow scrap challenge sampler with me to open sew for comedic relief. I started this in 2019 and I have most of the blocks finished. I realized I had not made any of the dark blocks. Dark colors are usually the last months of the challenge, and, by then, I tend to lose interest. As a reward for making progress on midnight flight, I would make a dark block for the sampler - or eat a treat. The center blocks are 4 1/2 inches. In the sampler, the borders are either straight or diagonal. I still can't be sure if all the blocks are done, until I start joining the blocks into rows. I may have to fill in with more blocks that I discover are missing. It's a start.

You've started to finish a long time UFQ! I have several Christmas cactus blooming also. Perhaps it's a weather thing, it is very unusual for our weather to be this warm in November, maybe it's affecting the house plants also? Happy stistching!
ReplyDeleteThat cactus is gorgeous! Love your teeny tiny blocks. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I was given block kits by a friend. I wonder what size those blocks will turn out to be
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have another project to mix in with one that takes a lot of effort. You ended up with some fun blocks. Very pretty cactus, I should check to see if ours has buds on it yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great background fabric to frame your bright blocks. I'm a firm believer in having a less stressful project to relax into. Studio time should be fun.
ReplyDeleteYour dark blocks are lovely, guess you need to do a count up soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the Tiny Tuesday blocks, looking forward to seeing it progress.
ReplyDeleteEager to see how these blocks fit together. And my Christmas cactus has the same problem. Guess they're eager to move into winter!
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks, hope you don't have too many more to make to complete your quilt.
