Fancy Forest is a top - hooray!

Bit by bit, I think I will have a finish by the end of the month.

I tried the Irish chain block to see what it will look like together.

Off my needles is the second scrappy sock using the so vanilla sock pattern. I used a size 1 -32 inch circular needle. I just finished it last night. I just love the scrappy. I still need to get rid of ends and block them. Just in time for sandal weather :)  Actually, I could just keep making single socks and match them with any other hmmmmm.

Swirls and socks

I finally worked on s backlog of customer quilts. It has been a few weeks since I have wanted to even turn the machine on to quilt. I had all kinds of excuses and better things to do. This quilt I knew was a charity quilt and she was really in no hurry to have it done. But, our guild's quilt show is this summer, and there are quilters thinking ahead and want to book their quilts. Sigh... so it's time to get back to it. This quilt went very well with the pattern I chose. But, 4 inches and I ran out of bobbin thread. - 4 inches!

I like the look of circles and swirls when the quilt is mostly straight lines. It makes me happy.

It makes a plain pattern sing with texture.
I have finished one scrappy sock.

Nesting

It's been a rough week. Funny how I tend to cook and clean when there is family drama. If I wanted a clean house I should instigate more of it ... not.
I made a yummy loaf of homemade bread.
I started it in the bread machine and finished it old school. I found the recipe here. Part of the process was deciding whether or not I need to get rid of the bread machine, so I sabotaged the decision by making bread to see if I would use it. The bread was wonderful. sigh....

I have been knitting in the evening a scrappy pair of socks. So I am gathering the remnants of yarn. And then I bought some more - that ought to help deplete the stash..... not. Love the socks though.
I have dusted, vacuumed, and mopped - a sure sign that something is wrong.

bunny ears treat bag

I am ready for Spring. Obviously, jumping the gun a bit. But I thought these Easter treat bags are so cute! They are also very fun to make from just 4 charm squares and a giggle. I found the idea here on Patchwork Times, and she had a link to the tutorial here.

Here are some of mine

I didn't want to do buttonholes, so I have been experimenting with one side of a snap and an eyelet.
I bought these, but they look too big for the bunnies and they were 1/4 inch eyelets.

I have started a pair of socks with all the leftover bits of yarn from other socks. I absolutely love how they are looking so far.
