quilt show entries

Today is our guild quilt show. We have our show every other year. These are the four I decided to show. We were only allowed 3, but, they didn't get enough, so they asked us to bring 4. Many of our older members don't quilt much anymore.

snow days has a lot of embroidery in the light color in the center. It has a sentimental story. Pictures do not do it justice.

lozenges is a Bonnie Hunter project that I swapped blocks with quilting buddies and my daughter.

strip tease Is a quilt that both my quilting friend Linda and I both made our own versions. We worked on them at the same time. She beat me on finishing, but I quilted hers. She wanted both quilts hanging together at the show.

midnight flight is a Bonnie Hunter quilt from her book More adventures with leaders and enders.

colorful fish blocks

I have no idea what the color of the month is for October and the  rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy. So, I will share a few fishies that I have used as leader/ enders this week. Surely, somewhere in there is the color of the month.

Our guild's quilt show started yesterday and it was full of some really great quilts. I have 6 quilts in the show.- Allietare, over the river, ode to Joey, Aunt Eliza's star, smith mountain morning, Lucy's baskets.

I haven't taken pictures yet, but hope to do that today.

quilt show

The quilt show in Indianapolis was wonderful. They advertised  400 quilts which, for this ole gal, was a few too many. But I really enjoyed the quilts and left inspired.

I bought this pattern.

There were a few Bonnie Hunter quilts

I am sorry this is blurry, but I want to make this one with shirts. It was impressive in person.

4th quarter finish along

It's the fourth quarter for the 2019 finish along. And it is time to make a list of what I might get finished in the next three months. This is my first year joining the finish along. I think it has helped me actually finish a few extra projects. Making the list is hard, since we can list more than we finish, but not less.  So it is ok to go big.
I also have a list I want to do by month - One monthly goal at elm street quilts. I find that a little easier to keep track of what I am doing.

4th quarter
1. unicorn
2. snowflake
3. crayon
4. sweet land of liberty
5. rainbow pineapple blossom
6. sister's 9 patch
7. crazy 6
8. countryside cottage
9. 4 patch x
10. jelly mystery
11. melba applique
12. epp diamonds
13. scrappy twirl
14. soul searching
15. faux hexagon table runner
16.wonky wishes
17.big EZ Christmas
18.stars and stripes
19.epp diamonds
20. greased lightening
21.ode to Joey
22.double wedding ring
23. florabunda
24.sand castles
25. lucy's baskets

There is no doubt that I will not finish everything on my list by the end of the year, but then I will have a head start for next year.

We moved our mandevella in the house for winter and it thanked us by having three blooms this morning. They are so beautiful and I look forward to a winter of red blooms.

I have a few more pictures from a recent quilt show in Lafayette.
