Today is our guild quilt show. We have our show every other year. These are the four I decided to show. We were only allowed 3, but, they didn't get enough, so they asked us to bring 4. Many of our older members don't quilt much anymore.
snow days has a lot of embroidery in the light color in the center. It has a sentimental story. Pictures do not do it justice.
lozenges is a Bonnie Hunter project that I swapped blocks with quilting buddies and my daughter.
strip tease Is a quilt that both my quilting friend Linda and I both made our own versions. We worked on them at the same time. She beat me on finishing, but I quilted hers. She wanted both quilts hanging together at the show.
midnight flight is a Bonnie Hunter quilt from her book More adventures with leaders and enders.

That is a lot of work!! I love them all but I think midnight flight is my fav!!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!
ReplyDeleteAll the quilts are nice but strip tease is my favorite. I've bookmarked this page so I can refer to it in the future. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteThose are very nice quilts. l have limited my quilt patterns that have larger pieces, can't imagine how long it would take to make the last two shown. Do you keep track of how long it takes to make a quilt top? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat stash-reducing quilts, Maggie!!! Beautiful complex details!!!
ReplyDeleteHope the show does well. You've got some great entries.
ReplyDeleteI almost have all my Snow Days embroidered blocks finished. I was interested in seeing how you finished it off and it is gorgeous, btw. Did you use dark blue or black thread for the embroidering I wonder. Strip Tease and Midnight Flight are beauties as well. Thanks for sharing these lovely works of yours.
ReplyDeleteThese are great quilts. I love that you extended the embroidery onto the blocks in the Snow Days quilt. I'm sure it is more awesome in person. Enjoy your day. ;^)
ReplyDeletePerfect Quilts for a Quilt show!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the show! Your entries are beautiful, I love to have the opportunity to see a sneak preview of them all. Stitching together with family or friends is great!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, and linking up.
