to do :antique blocks

As I have been cleaning and reorganizing, I have decided it is time to release some of my antique/ vintage quilt pieces into the wild.  etsy here I can't believe how hard it is to let them go. I feel I have to recue all the unwanted blocks in the world. The first blocks have some machine piecing, using old indigo blues. I think the machine stitching looks like a treadle stitch. I bought them at a quilt show some time ago. There are 9 blocks at 11 1/2 inches.

I have 17 of these blocks in my etsy here They have some hand stitching, and some machine piecing, 12 1/2 inches . Again, I think it is treadle stitching. I love the make do these antique blocks have.

I have this wooden handmade featherweight frame to slant the machine for better visibility. I tried it and liked it, but, I use my featherweight as a portable machine, and, I need to keep the bag as empty as possible. It is for sale on etsy here.

to do: use a new trimmer

I have an abundance of shirts whole, and in parts. I found a great idea for a block using shirt fabric, and, started cutting. The block uses a 4 1/2 inch center and 10 -2 1/2 inch hsts so I cut and cut and cut...and sewed and sewed and sewed.....

I used my slotted trimmers for the hsts.

and, then, I had 4 blocks. I really like the look of them, and hope to continue.

oops I am angled challenged

It doesn't use as much from a shirt as I expected, so I have 2 sets of 100% cotton shirts for sale in my etsy store here and here. I will never be able to use all I have in my lifetime. Email me if you want to negotiate a price.

My first Etsy sale

I've been making these cozies for my rug hooking guild. Everyone loves them, as they keep fingers, arms, and other body parts from the sharp points on the frame grippers. I use mine to travel back and forth to meetings, since I am apt to be more casual in carrying it and get pricked. Others. leave their cozy on while hooking so they can rest their arms on it. I hook up on a table and with the frame tilted, so I don't need it then. I use fleece because it is thicker and easier. They could be any thick material.

I cut 2 strips of the fleece at 9 inches and use a hank of non roll elastic.

So, my guild encouraged me to try selling on etsy, and I sold 2. I'm sure there are not a lot of rug hookers out there, so a few here and there will be great mad money, and I will have done my part to make the world a safer place LOL
I love all the fun options of fleece.
