I have been attending quilters' garage sales, and buying fabric. I think the dam has burst. I was so careful last year, and, apparently, I can only be good for so long. It will take a while to sort, measure, and fold the new fabric. But, I like that part- Finding a place for it, not so much.

With the new year, I am restarting an applique project - across the wide missourri- I started this project again in 2025 primarily for in the car traveling while we were traveling. But, I have continued this after we returned home. I try to do a little every day. I want to finish this by the end of the year.... or next.
Finally, this block is done. I started it the first part of the year on my way to Florida. I am thrilled I stuck with it.

Great travel project. I like to have a portable project too. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteBackground fabrics are always a good purchase, you never seem to have the one you need when you got to start a project. Hope you feel more perky this week. Congrats on finishing off the applique block.
ReplyDeleteThe applique block is beautiful! How many more blocks to you need to applique? Neutral fabrics are always a good investment, they will be used.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful applique. I have one kit that I really should pull out and work on. You may have inspired me to pull it and prep it for my trip later this month. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt would be hard to resist great background fabrics like those! I have that pattern, always loved it. Wonder now if I'll ever make it so great that I can live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteYour appliqued block is very pretty.
