I bought this fabric at a garage sale and donated it to the guild. It was so cute. That way, it satisfied my cute compulsion, and, didn't add to my stash. This may be the new way to purchase fabric without guilt about the no buying rules I've made.
stash report June 29, 2025
fabric added this week: 0 yards
fabric added year to date for 2025: 41 yards
fabric used: 30 yards donated to guild
fabric used year to date for 2025: 166 1/2 yards

I sewed 4 days last week -I count the time at my sewing machine, but I did some hand stitching.
With the new year, I am restarting an applique project - across the wide missourri- I started this project again in 2025 primarily for in the car traveling while we were traveling. But, I have continued this after we returned home. I try to do a little every day. I want to finish this by the end of the year.... or next.
I finished block 7 except for the embroidery details.

That is cute fabric! Love the idea of buying fabric for the guild or for someone else!
ReplyDeleteThose are really cute holiday fabrics. Adding to the guild stash makes sense. Happy stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteWow, that appliqué looks tiny, Maggie! Your workmanship is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteDonating garage sale fabric is a tricky way to buy without adding anything to your stash. That adorable quilting fabric will surely make someone happy.
