It is the end of May and time to put away ditch lilies for the rainbow scrap challenge. In a month I have cut all the pieces for the quilt and I even had a chance to dig and find some 1 1/2 inch hsts. They will finish at 1 inch. I need 640 of them for the quilt.
While I am working on a snowball project, I can use the cut off pieces to make 1/12 inch hsts. And I am working on a basket quilt that uses 2 inch hsts. I can cut the ones that are too small down to 1 1/2.

Those cut off corners - turned into HSTs - come in very handy. I usually can't bear to throw away those trimmings either.
ReplyDeleteMe, either. I'm using them for an L&E project that's turning out quite cute. And finally using them up!
ReplyDeleteThat's a big pile of HSTs!
ReplyDeleteLove your no waste way of working.
ReplyDeleteLove it when two projects complement each other. Good for you to make it happen!
