I finally figured out how I want to make the borders for kaleidoscope using Marti Micell's template. I needed to take apart the border pieces that were already sewn and add the top triangle before sewing the unit together. When I made a new row, I could do it right in the first place.
I added the top border.
altogether, I added 3 borders and I have one to go before it was time to leave the open sew. I really like how this one looks. I have decided that I don't want a darker outer border.

ReplyDeleteSuper way to border your quilt.
ReplyDeleteThose blocks look very challenging but they sure make a beautiful quilt. Well done!
ReplyDeleteOh I so love how it looks too, and agree that a dark border would darken it. Right now it's so bright and cheerful! Clever you for figuring out how to finish those borders. Can't wait for this one! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
