week 2 - rainbow scrap challenge November

I have the top ready for borders for my red and brown pfeffernuesse quilt. I am excited to finish this older bonnie hunter ufo. I worked on it, in the red and the brown months, for the rainbow scrap challenge. I am pleased with my progress this week.

I took single pictures this week, not sure if I would get more done than just one. I fell behind on  sugar grove blocks. I really want to catch up by the end of the year.

I have all the blocks made for  a zig zag quilt I want to make using 1 1/2 inch scrap strips. I made them, but, did not iron them and the drawer looked intimidating. I decided I would iron as many as I could until the end of the year. Maybe, I can sew them together next year for each color of the month.

My fingers are not as nimble anymore, so I pulled out my finger cots to open them as I was ironing. They worked great.

  5. The Pfeffernuesse looks awesome! I always look at that pattern in my book & feel overwhelmed by all the pieces. But all of Bonnie's patterns are like that! You've done a great job. I've been loving those Sugar Grove blocks all year & can't wait to see the finished quilt.
