week 2 - April pink rainbow scrap challenge

Since we have returned home from our winter break, we have spent time catching up with doctors and dentists. I needed to bring in the groceries and restock the kitchen. I am  so glad that Spring has started, with a few cold hiccups. I do love Spring for all the possibilities.

I made 4 pink candy chains  blocks.

I added the 2 1/2 inch square outer borders to my pink square, play blocks.

I found a little time to add the border to my yellow baby string quilt. I was so close, I just wanted to finish it. Now, the trick will be uncovering the longarm and remembering how to use it again. LOL

it's about 52 x 60

  2. Welcome home! I like the Candy Chain blocks. Will the chains be RSC colors, or will you use a constant?

  3. You've got some pretty pink blocks for this week. It does take a bit to settle back after even a short vacation. You were gone for a bit, so I can see where you've got lots to catch up on.

I'd love to purchase the pattern if you can remember where you found it. My online search was unsuccessful. I also loved how your strip blocks! What a great way to play with fabric! 15. I love the idea of the yellow baby string quilt. I love my grandchildren, but I am having a hard time coming up with different baby quilts to make as they keep having babies! Great grand #9 is due in June.
