week 1 - April pink rainbow scrap challenge

It's good to be home until I walked into my sewing room - what a mess. I need to get serious about a clean up. I am excited about pink for the rainbow scrap challenge. It gives me a chance to pick a ufo that I am anxious about moving forward.

We saw the prettiest pink flowering bush in Key west. It took a minute to drink it all in.

I finished putting the rows together for the yellow string blocks. I have a border cut and ready to add from a thrifted shirt.

It is time to play with squares for square, play blocks. I had a whole box of 4 1/2 inch squares to choose from this time.

I cut for the white border.

I need to find my packed 2 1/2 inch scrappy squares to make an outer border for them.

From my pink 2 1/2 inch strips, I was able to make the chaining blocks for the candy chains .

I am excited to look at my pink dresden blocks I began this older ufo a long time ago, but restarted it in 2025 for the rsc as a way to see it to completion. All the fans are done. I need to cut the background blocks and attach the dresdens this month.

  10. That pink (fuchsia ) is so vibrant and cheerful. It really sets the tone for pink month. Your collection of pink scraps do, too.
