pink scrap projects week 3

I thought it would take forever to sew the plates to the background for my pink dresden blocks. I met with my Friday quilting group, and, the wonderful company, helped me complete 5 of them. The time went quickly. I did choose to machine sew the edges. I cut the background squares 17 inches, so it was nice to have a big table to glue and pin the blocks before sewing.

I have 64 sugar grove blocks. I had planned for 72. I have developed a great rhythm, that is adequately successful. I cut and sewed the hsts last year, for the rainbow scrap challenge, and assembled the blocks this year.

I began the 2024 stashbuster quilt last year ( 2025) by cutting 2 1/2 inch scrap strips by color. The pattern is basically a triple irish chain. My plan is to make them scrappy.
I was hoping to sew twosies this year. I didn't take them to Florida with me, so, I am back to sewing them.  I sewed the pink and the green to catch up with those

I made the 16 patches for square dance  quilt while working on other projects. I used 2 inch squares from my scrap drawer.

  1. Nothing like a stitch and dish group to get the hand sewing work done. I'm constantly impressed by all the ways you find to use scraps.
