After ironing the red and brown pfeffernuesse quilt. for the rainbow scrap challenge this month. I searched for the inner border and attached the final choice for the quilt. I have also been searching for the outer border. I planned for brown. My selection of browns were lackluster. But, buried amid the browns, was a lovely burgundy red that I think is "the one". on the right

I have actually pressed the zig zag quilt blocks every day this past week. I have less to go than I have done.

It seems you had a very productive week. Lots of pressing and piecing. Should be fun laying everything out and seeing what quilts you come up with.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're definitely playing with all those fun scraps! Way to be productive.
ReplyDeleteYour border choices really work. You've done such a good job at moving your RSC projects along this year.
ReplyDeleteI like those borders you came up with for Pfeffernuse! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou are a busy bee, so much inspiration from the fabrics. I have the same red in my stash!
ReplyDeleteStart sewing those zig-zags into blocks; you'll be amazed at how fast they grow! I made one of those & thought the same thing when I had my pile made, but it all worked out. I'm getting tempted to make another for a donation with all my little pieces.
ReplyDeletepressing can be just as tedious as anything else in quilting
ReplyDeleteThat border you found for Pfeffernusse is simply perfect! Can't wait to see it finished. It's going to be lovely. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
