I have been working on the blocks for hand me down in an effort to make rows and join rows. There was minimal matching with the every other block layout.

I finished the rows at an open sew at the library. Ooo I like it. I am not sure about borders. It is a bout 74 x 74 as it is. I think I will let it rest a bit, and see I want to finish it.
Hand me down is a Bonnie Hunter pattern found in her first book.

Hand Me Down turned out beautifully. The dark navy was the perfect color to set all those blocks. Congrats on all the progress!
ReplyDeleteWhether to add borders depends on what you plan to do with your quilt. Something to ponder while you let this gem rest.
ReplyDeleteI like it, too. The navy background really shows off the plaids in your block. And the arrangement looks great together!
ReplyDeleteI love the border you are adding to this! Really finishes it off nicely. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I have a bunch of shirts I've been saving to make a quilt! I will need to look into this book! Thanks for the inspiration!
