pfeffernuuse and zigzags

When I opened the box of an older ufo for the rainbow scrap challenge. I discovered that many of the hourglass blocks were turned the wrong way..... sigh  I unstitched them, and, resewed them correctly. It was an easy fix. I had flipped the top and bottom row of  2. One new seam, and, it was made to right.

I used smaller strips in odd colors to make for the zig zag quilt. I think I have about 500 little units. I've made them over the year, but, I didn't iron them open. I am guessing that was a big mistake. I started ironing this month, and it took forever. haha

  1. The hourglass blocks are all so pretty in the reds/neutrals. But I am amazed that you've made 500 of those little units for the zig zag. Wow!!

  2. I made a zig zag with 1.5" strips with my quilt group & that's a marathon of ironing all at once! Wow.

  3. It's never fun to correct errors, but it does feel so good when you get that done. You'll have two more UFOs done before you know it.

  5. I love those red and white hourglassblocks for Pfeffernuse! So glad the mistake was too hard to correct.
