I am very slowly unpacking the bag of fabric that I bought at a quilt show rummage show. Everything was measured by the pound. I found this subscription packet from keepsake quilting in the bins. I thought the fabrics were so pretty. It contained 9 different- 1/4 yards.

I sewed 4 days last week - I am really trying to finish Holy Toledo
I have created a new friendship swap for my rug hooking group. It is a swap rug. Everyone wanted houses this time. It has two rows of houses, and trees, too. We each do a house on our own rug, and then, we pass it around for everyone to hook a house on our rug, When we are done, we will have a rug with our friends hooking on it. I have made 2 or 3 others and they are such a treasure. We have a goal to trade every two weeks.
now that I am finished with my swapping on the friendship rug, I am taking a little break to work on my Christmas rug forever project.
It took a while to find the last picture I posted of the rug.

btw I really dislike hooking fences, they are so messy.

Nice to see you are working on your tree skirt again. The fence will look better once you trim the ends. Hook on! Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteOh those rummage sale fabrics are such a cute collection!
ReplyDeleteSweet and lovely floral fabrics! I love your Christmas rug, great to see it agin. Is it easier to hook the writing than the fence?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your work in progress and linking up.
Wow. 68 yards for the year. I admire your restraint.
ReplyDeleteI have some of those packages from Keepsake Quilting. At some point they need to get put into projects. You are making good progress on the Christmas rug. Happy stitching this week.
