stash report September 14, 2025

I have a big basket of  cut offs from quilting. I trim the quilts and dump them in the basket. I keep them because they are substantial pieces, and, could be combined to make a pieced backing. I am lazy about working on it. It is overflowing, because if I have a big enough piece I tend to use that first. I grabbed a hunk of of them, and started piecing some together for a franken-batting. It is an intriguing sort of puzzle.

63 x 84

The pink one is probably not large enough, yet. We shall see if the red and blue will work.

I have created a new friendship swap for my rug hooking group. It is a swap rug. Everyone wanted houses this time. It has two rows of houses, and trees, too. We each do a house on our own rug, and then, we pass it around for everyone to hook a house on our rug, When we are done, we will have a rug with our friends hooking on it. I have made 2 or 3 others and they are such a treasure. We have a goal to trade every two weeks.

I finished this  house for Vivian.

  1. Piecing franken backings can be both fun and frustrating. I'm trying to use up my older stash, so I see a lot of that in my future. How many more houses do you have left to hook friendship rug swap?

  2. I like the house that you hooked. That snowball quilt is so pretty.
