I have built enough sashings to join 2 blocks together for all 5 rows of snowball blocks. I am on my second bag of 2 inch squares. I am enjoying the surprise of how they look when I finish each 2 sie. I have a somewhat random technique for choosing the 2 inch squares together. When I reach for a square, my head says I don't like that one, so I choose another. I do that for about 2 or 3 choices. And, then, my head says it's time for an ugly one. In the end, it really doesn't matter. The overall look is fun and scrappy.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my breast cancer. And this is the free plant I received after treatment.
I hope you can mark many more of these anniversaries, cancer free! That scrappy sashing is looking awesome with the snowball blocks.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time with random scrappy, but you seem to be doing a great job with your square selection. Hopefully all is well on the remission front and you don't have anything but annual check ups now.
ReplyDeleteLovely scrappy quilt you're making. I just celebrated my first anniversary as well. Together we can beat this! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
